Presentation “Boatyards, shipbuilding and towing tank construction in Estonia” was given in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture of Zagreb University. Summary of the presentation:
SCC and TTÜ (Tallinn University of Technology) biorobotics researchers carried out towing tank tests of a new, pressure sensors based water velocity measuring device of an underwater robot. The device is intended for future application in environment monitoring and archeologic research.
Study: Ship and boat manufacturing in Estonia 2014-2015 The study conducted by SCC focuses on the companies manufacturing ships and boats in Estonia.
The Lainergy (Wave Energy Company) team is hard at work preparing for the testing of their 1:3 prototype at Tallinn University of Technology Small Craft Competence Centre in Kuressaare (SCC).
Hydrodynamic experiments with the Salme viking ship We’re taking the model of the ancient ship Salme on water, in our towing tank.
