TTU Biorobotics novel flow devices at SCC

Posted on

TTU Centre for Biorobotics is collaborating with SCC to calibrate their novel flow measurement devices inspired by fish lateral line organs, the small neuromasts. The SCC towing tank is used to calibrate the Hydromasts for flow speed detection and to see how the devices are able to detect waves at different water depths. The sensors will be distributed across the ocean floor to gather data about flow, sediment motion and the effect of ship waves.
